On June 4, at 13.00, in the garden of the Bolderāja School of Music and Art, Stūrmaņu Street 31, the sculpture of the sculptor Pauls Jaunzems “For Music and Art” was unveiled, with the participation of Latvian President Egils Levits.
The sculpture "Music and Art" is dedicated to the school's thirtieth birthday, but due to the pandemic it could not be publicly unveiled during the school's anniversary. The sculpture will also be unveiled as a tribute to International Child Protection Day. It is made of granite - 3 meters high and 9 tons heavy and reflects the main areas of activity of the school. In the shadow of world events, the sculpture monument also acquires a symbolic value - Ars longa, vita brevis (lat. Art is eternal, life is short).
